Nigerian Institute of Physics

We are the premier professional organization and esteemed society for physics in Nigeria, actively engaged in fostering collaboration in physics on a global scale.

What We Do

The Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP) invites members and other stakeholders to share their communications, whether written or oral, on topics related to physics. These communications are received, listened to, and discussed during Institute meetings. NIP promotes collaboration among higher education institutions, schools, and examining bodies to aid in Physics Curriculum Development. It also encourages, guides, and collaborates in the education and training of aspiring physicists and individuals interested in physics

Our firm belief is that physics holds the key to creating a brighter world for everyone. This strategy represents the vision of the NIP for driving change, outlining the necessary steps to harness physics’ transformative power.

Our governance forms the bedrock of our foundation, guiding our operations, decisions, and strategic direction. Our commitment to upholding the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and ethical conduct shapes the way we serve our members.
